“All of us like sheep have gone astray; each of us has turned to his own way, but the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6
Man’s guilt before God is on the spiritual level. Therefore, we can not resolve our guilt before God with human methods. Guilt is the fruit of sin, and all men have sinned (Rom. 3:23).
Guilt is a destructive force that pulls us deeper into darkness and nausea. Psychologists do not have the solution and taking medication or alcohol definitely does not solve the problem. Still, many take the bottle or pill to try to numb the effects of guilt. The solution is to get to the root of the problem, not just try to remove the bad fruits. And left to ourselves, we are helpless and that is why so many people are drawn even deeper into the darkness by the destructive power of guilt. Unfortunately, darkness changes people to what they absolutely did not want to do or become.
But there is good news and a great hope and light in the darkness. God has arranged a solution to the debt problem. And it’s not about some kind of positive thinking or sweeping things under the rug. God goes to the root problem and offers us the way out.
Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth to redeem us humans. When Jesus hung on the cross, the sins and guilt of all men were laid upon Him. Jesus took our punishment and died in our place. On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead. Jesus’ offering for sin for us is valid before God and because of what Jesus has done for us through His death and resurrection, we can now be acquitted on legal grounds. This is what the Bible calls the gospel, good news, and it is God’s power for salvation for every person who believes.
When you put your faith and trust in Jesus, He will be your Savior. You will then be acquitted before God and Jesus will enter your heart through the Holy Spirit. You become released on the inside and transformed. Jesus will be your best friend who wants to go with you and help you walk the right paths. Put your faith in Jesus today and confess to Jesus that you believe and trust in Him.
What Jesus has done for us is fully sufficient and He is a solid rock. Today you can start following and believing in Jesus.
God bless you.
