Everyone believes in something, even those who say they are atheists.  One can believe in science, oneself, a certain lifestyle, a particular diet.  If you have a real faith and do not just say it, it shows in your life what you believe in.  It can be a special style of dress, socializing with like-minded people, practicing a sport or exercising a lot.

How do you believe in something then?  By hearing what others have experienced, find out the facts, reviews.  When you have found out enough to be convinced, you start and buy, for example, only the raw materials that that particular diet requires, throwing away everything else, because you really believe in this.  Then after eating that diet, you have tried it and see results.

We who believe in Jesus and His work of atonement on the cross, believe in a person.  When we believe in Him, what He did on the cross becomes real in our lives.  Faith is like a key that opens the door to the treasure.  The treasure is there all the time, but through faith in Jesus we get access to it.  The treasure is all that Jesus gave us on the cross, salvation, peace, health, life, favor, righteousness.

How can one believe in Jesus then?  “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the word of faith that we preach: that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be ashamed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is generous toward all who call upon Him. For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”” Rom. 10:8-13

By reading and listening to sermons and teachings about Him, faith is born.  It is important that you listen to those who preach Jesus and not lots of other things.  Faith is born in your heart, not in your head.  You may have factual knowledge about a person, completely true facts, but you do not know that person because you do not have a relationship with that person.

If you believe in Jesus, you pray to Him and He comes into your heart.  Then that relationship continues when you exercise your faith, by talking to Him, telling others what He has done in your life and walking in your everyday life aware of Him.

It will be seen in your life, who you believe in, it will be seen at your work, at school, in your environment, that there is something different about you.  For everything you do, do it in the belief that you have favor where you go, because that is where Jesus goes.
