“that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their sins against them, and has entrusted to us the message of reconciliation.” 2 Cor. 5:19

Gospel means happy, good news.  Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, there is now a solution from God to the problem of sin.  From God’s side, this with guilt and punishment because of our sin has already been completed, through Jesus’ death for us on the cross.  Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

“So we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us. We implore you in Christ’s stead: Be reconciled to God.” 2 Cor. 5:20

The message that shall go out to the world today is: “Be reconciled to God“. By believing in Jesus, you become reconciled to God.

“When He (the Holy Spirit) comes, He will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me;” John 16:8-9

To reject God’s offer of salvation, by not putting your faith in Jesus, is the sin that the Holy Spirit convicts of.  Let neither self-righteousness nor the feeling of unworthiness cause you to reject God’s offer.  Today you can begin to believe with your heart and trust Jesus as your only salvation.  Then you will be reconciled to God.  Confess your faith by telling Jesus that you believe in Him.  God is good.

 God bless you.
