“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God.” Philip. 4:6
In all relationships, communication is fundamental. It is the same between God and His children. God speaks to us through the Bible, it reveals God and His will to us. When we talk to God, it is called prayer. In the verse above it says that we should make our requests be known to God.
God knows everything, but still He wants us to make our requests be known to Him. He already knows what we say before we say it and He knows our needs and thoughts. Yet God wants us to put into words our requests, thoughts and feelings. We can communicate with God about everything.
Several times I have carried thoughts or feelings inside me. Sometimes for a long time and sometimes just for a while and then instead of just keeping it to myself, I have communicated with God. And so many times I have, as soon as I mentioned it to God, received an answer. Often the answer comes in a completely new thought and it is so pure and clear. You suddenly see the solution or whatever it is.
God wants us to communicate with Him, it strengthens our fellowship with Him. And God is willing to speak to us, not just through the Bible, but always in line with the Bible. Go from thinking, to talking to God today. God wants to hear what is on your heart. Let Him also hear that you love Him, even though you know He already knows.
God bless you.
