“Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
If you are a parent, you are happy to see your children happy. Of course, there are things that children need to learn, such as keeping their room tidy. As a parent, you also have a lot of responsibilities yourself. But if you see one of your children worrying about something, it will grieve you.
It is the same with us who believe in Jesus. Our heavenly Father will be grieved if He sees that we are worried. Of course, we plan and take responsibility, but if it turns into anxiety and worry, it will be destructive. It breaks down a person, both mentally and physically, and it negatively affects one’s spiritual life as well. There are things you need to do that can be felt as boring, that is one thing and you have to learn to handle it. But worries have to do with anxiety and fear, and that is something completely different. Worries and anxieties have to do with a lack of faith and trust. Faith in God, counts on God and His care.
God has told us to cast all our care upon Him. All means all, in every area of your life. This is faith and trust and it pleases God. When we cast our care upon God, He sees that we are counting on Him. It makes Him happy when He sees that we trust Him and it makes Him happy when He sees that we are not worried.
So there are only benefits to cast all your care upon God. You will be happy and God will rejoice. Do not waste your time and energy worrying. God’s care for you is so great that He does not want anything to worry you.
Cast, not give, out of your life all worries. Cast them upon God, He likes it, because He loves you.
God bless you.
