“My little children, I am writing these things to you, so that you do not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:1-2
When you are saved and follow Jesus, you do not want to sin. The love of Jesus, our wonderful Savior, makes us want to be close to Him. We want to be more like Him in our character and we do not cease to be fascinated by Him. Jesus is our treasure and we praise Him for being who He is and all the wonderful things He does.
We do not have a lifestyle of sin now, because Jesus now lives in our heart. But, sometimes it can become wrong, it can be that we sin. Jesus is so wonderful. He has done a work in us and continues to do so. If any believer does sin, then Jesus defend His follower. He does not defend our sins, but He defend us who believe.
Jesus can defend us because He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins. The more we see of Jesus’ love and care, the greater gets our love for Him. To experience how Jesus defends you when you have made a fool of yourself, it touches your heart. What a wonderful Savior we have. How great His care and love is for us. Can any heart remain hard when one see and experience the love of Jesus? His love causes us to be drawn to Him and sin loses its attraction. Believe in Jesus, your Advocate.
God bless you.
