“… faith which works through love.” Gal. 5:6

As Christians, we are called to live in faith in God and the word of God.  We believe in Jesus, our Savior, and we believe in God’s promises that He has given us in the Bible.  We live in a rest and trust in God’s care for us.  Then we also make decisions, small and big, based on faith in what God has promised and said.  This is a lifestyle.  We count on God, we do not only count on what we can see and feel.

Faith is both resting and active.  When we act, we not only do things in faith, but together with love.  Faith and love work together.  Faith is like an invisible hand that takes hold of God’s promises and God’s hand and so sees God’s guidance, protection and power manifested.  This is done in an attitude of love, both to people and to God.  When faith and love work together, people’s lives can be transformed.  Faith and love should not compete, but work together.

When you study both the life of Jesus and of the apostles, you see that both faith and love worked.  This is normal Christian life and in this way both the power and love of God are revealed in a broken world today, through Jesus’ followers.  Faith and love drive away hopelessness, loneliness and darkness.  Release the team – faith and love.

 God bless you.
