“The hair on His head was white like wool, as white as snow… His appearance was like the sun shining brightly.” Rev. 1:14, 16

Jesus is pure, there is not the slightest bit of darkness or impurity in Him.  Saul, who later became Paul, met Jesus.  Saul was driven by religious hatred and darkness and after his encounter with Jesus he could not see, “Since I was blinded by the glory of that light,” Acts 22:11

From Jesus emanates glory and light.  Darkness cannot exist in the presence of Jesus.  Jesus is not corrupt and has no ulterior motives, but He is honest and glorious.  Saul regained his sight and became Paul.  The encounter he had with Jesus totally transformed him.  The darkness of his soul had now been driven out and he was filled with life and light.

The light and glory emanating from Jesus transforms.  It melts frozen hearts, it confronts, but not to break down but to lift and liberate.  Jesus always points to the way out.  He did it for Paul and He does it for you.  Jesus is not out to “catch” people, but to provide direction and solutions.

But of course it can be dizzying to suddenly see something in the light.  It can be hard to realize that the darkness that used to be one’s “light and guidance”, was a lie.  But come out of the shadows to Jesus.  His glory is lovely and He calls you to come to His warm embrace.  It will be bright and pure in your life, when Jesus is allowed to enter your heart.

 God bless you.
