“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a great voice like a trumpet,… and His voice as the sound of many waters.” Rev. 1:10, 15

Jesus is God who was revealed in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16) and He came to reconcile man to God.  God is triune, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead on the third day.  Jesus is alive forevermore. The apostle John met the risen and glorified Jesus.

Jesus is “I AM WHO I AM” Exodus 3:14, so everything we see in Jesus is an expression of who He is.  We humans often add to ourselves one or the other things to try to raise our self-esteem.  Jesus is “I AM” Exodus 3:14 and He does not have to add anything to Himself to become a little “stronger, better or more beautiful”.

In the world today, there are so many voices.  It is a war for the human soul and attention.  Jesus has a great voice that is clear and distinct.  It gives hope and before it the darkness trembles.  It is the same voice that sounded as He walked the earth and conveyed life-changing words.  The voice is not monotonous and harsh but it is great.  It flows forth with life-giving words, it is a flow that flows forth, that breaks forth, and it is like the sound of many waters.

The devil and the circumstances try to roar at us sometimes, but Jesus’ voice is stronger and it rushes forward with words that lift, forgive and strengthen.  Jesus is not uncertain or confused, but He thunders with His voice and the doubt and the devil’s whispers of unbelief, hopelessness and darkness are washed away by Jesus’ voice.  Jesus has something to say to you, about you and about your situation.

 God bless you.
