“I consider it right, as long as I live in this body, to stir you up by reminding you,” 2 Peter 1:13
The apostle Peter was a man just like you and me, and he knew that things can fall into forgetfulness. He understood that what may be a living revelation today, may tomorrow be surrounded by challenges and mists of doubt that want to creep in.
If there is one thing that we as believers always need to have revealed for us, it is the message of Jesus. That one personally has Jesus’ death and resurrection real for oneself. That you have it real for yourself, that Jesus lives in your heart.
That the churches constantly revolve around Jesus’ death, resurrection and inherent life in every believer, in their preaching. This is not just some kind of basic teaching, but the real Christian life. There are enormous depths and heights to discover and remind of, the person of Jesus and His work at Calvary.
The message and revelation about Jesus, the cross, the empty tomb and His life today, needs to be heard in every church, every week, all year round. Bold, underlined and exclamation marks, so we never forget. So that the challenges do not take over. So that the mists of doubt do not begin to creep in. So that strange teachings cannot creep in.
Remind and preach, to yourself and others, about Jesus. The victory is won. Jesus is Lord, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last and He is mighty, wonderful and merciful !!!
God bless you.
