“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God,” Eph. 2:8

Sometimes it becomes overemphasized, that – that we should live in victory, freedom, sanctification, revival, health, love, joy, prayer and so on.  All of this is good to live in and we need to be reminded of it.  But we should not overemphasize – that.

We were saved by grace.  We remain saved by grace.  Grace is received by faith.  All these “that” are fulfilled, by receiving grace through faith.

How, then becomes – by grace through faith.  That is how the Christian life starts and continues.  This applies to all areas of life.  That the character and power of Christ flow through our lives, it happens only by grace.  It is not something we can get started through our own achievements.  We could not save ourselves.  Nor can we live as saved ourselves.  We are in constant need of grace from God.

So, go from that to how, by believing in God that He works in and through your life.  He puts His will in you and helps you to fulfill it.  Believe God that He is so good and let Him blow in “your sails”, so your “boat” moves forward in the power of God’s Spirit.  God also gives the will and ability to make great sacrifices for Him, when needed.

“For God is the One working in you, both to will and to do His good pleasure.” Philip. 2:13

All by grace, through faith.  All glory to God.

 God bless you.
