“Therefore beware, lest what is spoken of in the prophets come upon you: ‘Look, you scoffers, marvel and perish! For I will perform a work in your days which you will never believe, even if someone declares it to you.’” Acts 13:40-41

Some say that to believe in Jesus is only for those who need “a crutch in life”.  They themselves think they stand firm and be so sensible.  Jesus has sent us also to the confident, proud and arrogant.  Maybe you who read this are your own god, law and morality.

Jesus prayed for those who crucified Him: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”  Those who crucified Jesus surely believed they were so strong, cool, and fierce.  But they did not understand that, right there and then, they fulfilled the prophetic predictions spoken several generations before them.  Had they read and understood them and understood who they were crucifying, they would surely have died on the spot of fear and heart attack.

If you are a scoffer today, beware, that what is already predicted and decided does not come upon you.  Bow your heart for Jesus who died and rose for you.  He forgave and prayed for His executioners and He is more than willing to forgive you. Jesus loves you.  Respond to His love today by believing in Him.  Then His cross will not be a crutch for you, but the most precious and lovable thing in this world.  The cross of Christ, the symbol of love.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Today you can go from being a scoffer to being a believer.

 God bless you.
