“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different gospel, which is not a gospel. But there are some who trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” Gal. 1:6-7
It is the gospel that is God’s power for salvation (Rom. 1:16), not the gospel plus something more. Addition to the gospel deprives the gospel of its power. Jesus’ death for our sins, that He was buried and that He rose on the third day, is the gospel. Therein lies the power of God and it is released when one believes.
Jesus’ work for us was of love and grace. To try to add, remove, or pervert the gospel of Christ is to disrespect what Jesus has done for us.
Let us rediscover and preach the pure, clear and unmixed gospel. It is the power of God, for all peoples in all countries. The gospel in concentrated form, to neither add nor remove. The way forward is, by grace through faith (Eph. 2: 8).
God bless you.
