The gospel is by far, the best message and power available.

When we understand and experience the power of the gospel, it is very difficult to keep quiet.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Rom. 1:16

The gospel has power to transform

Through the gospel we can be saved, be reconciled to God and have eternal life, which is absolutely wonderful and worth more than anything else.  The gospel addresses the root problem in the world and it begins in the heart of the individual.  You become transformed in your heart when Jesus comes into your life and then you start doing good things, because you want to.  God begins to work in one’s inner life through His Spirit.  “For God is the One working in you, both to will and to do His good pleasure.” Philip. 2:13

Religious rules, philosophy, laws and lots of good advice can never transform a person’s inner nature and it never gives the power and ability to do what is said.  Some even try to follow Jesus’ example of lifestyle, which is good, but not even that transforms a person’s heart.

The Christian life involves cooperation with God.  He does not do everything for us, nor is it for us to do everything in our own power, but God wants to help us live right.

 Grace is available

“Now, brothers, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which you have received, and in which you stand. Through it you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached to you, unless you have believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: how Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” 1 Cor. 15:1-4

Jesus’ death and resurrection is the gospel.

When Jesus died on the cross, He took the sin and punishment of men.  Sin is no longer an insoluble problem, because now there is a gift that every person can receive because of Jesus’ death and resurrection and that is the remission of sins.  In addition, through the work of Jesus, grace is now available, thereby breaking the power of sin over a person who receives Jesus.  Then Jesus helps one, not to fall for the temptations of sin and one gets other interests.

Jesus arose on the third day.  We proclaim a living Jesus.  Every human being can meet Him and when you do, something happens in your life.  Jesus forgives sin and liberates people from various shackles.  Jesus does miracles.

 Response and walk

The response that every human being needs to make to experience the power of the gospel is to believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as his Savior.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

However, the gospel is not a “pill of happiness”, where everything becomes problem-free and a constant happiness here on earth.  Jesus said, “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

But, as a believer, you can know that you are on your way to heaven and that you are no longer alone, God is with you.  God wants to help us through the challenges we face.  Together with Jesus we are conquerors, so be of good courage.

 God bless you.
