“For you have not received the spirit of slavery again to fear. But you have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.” Rom. 8:15

Being a child of God through faith in Jesus is wonderful.  To have fellowship with God, the Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, is the greatest privilege.  In the new covenant we live in today, through Jesus, we do not have to live in bondage and fear.  We do not have to try to please God in our own strength.  For it always creates a feeling of inadequacy, if you are honest with yourself.  And that leads to insecurity, fear and slavery.

But now, as believers in Jesus, we have by grace received the Spirit of adoption.  We are the children of God and God is our Father, our Daddy.  “Abba” means Father on a intimate level and can therefore be likened to, Daddy.  In Luke 15 we see how the father runs to meet his returning son, hugs and kisses him and sets up a party.  No cold and distant relationship from the father.  God loves us and wants an intimate relationship with us.  Our heavenly Father genuinely cares for us and wants us to talk to Him about everything that concerns our lives.  Nothing is too small or too big for Him.  Run into your heavenly Daddy’s open arms today.

 God bless you.
