“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but so much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For God is the One working in you, both to will and to do His good pleasure.” Philip. 2:12-13

Salvation is a gift from God through Jesus.  To be reconciled to God is a instant miracle that occurs when one begins to believe in Jesus.  Then you are born again and Jesus moves into your heart.  One has then been made righteous through Jesus.

Continuing your walk with God is then about becoming more like Jesus.  That what has happened in the heart also becomes visible in our lives.  God shapes us by working in us, both will and deed.  We get a longing to become more like Jesus and with God’s help it also happen.  Bad habits are broken and the character of Christ manifest more and more through our lives.

This is a work of God, it really is.  It creates in us a fear and trembling.  See how God loves us and really wants our best.  God is so good.

 God bless you.
