“We did not yield to subjection to them, not for an hour, that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.” Gal. 2:5
Many times well-meaning people can say that we must really preach the truth. By that, they mean slightly different things depending on what they themselves put into the word truth.
In the Galatians, Paul speaks about the truth several times. The truth of the gospel and the truth of we being under grace, not the law.
The truth about the power of the gospel and the grace of God is a truth that needs to be guarded. There are always forces that want to get us under legalism. And there are also forces that want to get us into sin. The solution is the truth that Jesus lives in every believer’s heart and God’s active grace. It is the remedy for both legalism and sin.
“You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?” Gal. 5:7
Continue to obey the truth by believing in Jesus.
God bless you.
