“Take the helmet of salvation” Eph. 6:17

A helmet, in this case in the description of God’s armor, is there to protect.  It should just sit firmly on your head and so perform its function, protecting your head.

The salvation given to us through Jesus, we receive through faith.  Knowing that you are saved and on your way to heaven gives peace of mind.  When the accuser (Satan) fires his accusations against you, it is important that the helmet is in place.  If you believe in Jesus, you are saved.  Jesus is your Savior.

Don’t let anyone make you doubt the helmet’s strength.  Take the helmet of salvation by believing the gospel.  It protects your mind from the attacks of darkness.  The helmet of salvation is strong and is a blood-bought gift from the Savior, Jesus Christ.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Rom. 1:16

 God bless you.
