“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the laying on of my hands.” 2 Tim. 1:6
Paul wrote and reminded Timothy of the gift he had already received. You and I who believe in Jesus have received different gifts. A good steward will use the gift that has been given.
But there are many different things that want to stop the outflow of God’s gifts through our lives. Timothy had a genuine faith (verse 5) and many today also have a sincere faith. But in Timothy’s case, in some way, fear had crept in and frozen the gift he had received from God.
Therefore, Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote: “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and self-control.” 2 Tim. 1:7
Whatever it may be that has made you passive and not let the gift inside you be a blessing for your surrounding, now you can turn page.
Dear brother and sister, stir up the gift again.
God bless you.
